  • Rented bikes this week. Really super service!! Pannier bags were fitted, a gel saddle cover for a friend, and everything neatly delivered in Callantsoog. Super friendly owner!

  • Everything was easy to arrange in advance. One of the four of us couldn't come that day (feeling a bit unwell), but that was no problem for Fred's Verhuur: "That's fine for us, it's just less fun for you." We got a few route suggestions. On return, the deposit was straight back in our account. Absolutely fine.

  • Well and truly worth 5 stars. The 2 rented bikes were neatly delivered to our holiday cottage. Super tidy, as-good-as-new e-bikes. And the friendly man collected them again right on the agreed time.

  • We rented bikes from Fred’s through the Markstadt hotel. Maud the general manager took our heights and assured us the bikes would be there the following morning. Behold, we walked out of our hotel and they were both there correctly sized and ready to go. The quality and condition of the bikes was top notch. We are both seasoned long distance cyclist, so basically bike snobs 🤭 We rode them out to Callenstoog to visit the beach. I was able to roll along at 19mph in a tucked position, I was impressed! All in all it was a top notch experience! Many thanks to Fred’s staff for their help!

  • Excellent service and really good bikes, with delivery to the holiday home. We rented 4 e-bikes for the family with two child trailers and a child seat for two weeks, and we basically only get around by bike. Even before the trip the advice was great, the offer very good, and the bikes were delivered right after we arrived. Highly recommended! 👌

  • Suuuper nice, accommodating and uncomplicated. Fair prices too, and bikes that work perfectly all round. There's also a pick-up & delivery service for just €15 per entire booking. Great!

  • We were very satisfied and can recommend it! The staff were friendly, value for money absolutely fine: we paid €11 per bike (standard) and for a small extra charge the bikes were even collected from our holiday park the next morning. On request we also got a cycling backpack. Many thanks!

  • Used the Lopifit from Fred's Verhuur during a group outing. The welcome was very friendly, the Lopifits were ready and waiting, the explanation was clear and we could practise for a bit in the car park. It was a lovely afternoon. The weather played along too and we made use of the ice-cream tip. Halfway through, the brake on one of them became weaker. That led to a dangerous situation at a busy crossing. On return we mentioned that the brake wasn't working properly. We were told it had indeed come loose and that everything is checked beforehand. It would be nice to pass that on to riders. A tip: fit small mirrors to the handlebars. These activities are often group outings. Being able to glance in a mirror to see where the others are is really handy (we've found that on other activities too). Looking back over your shoulder on a Lopifit is also an exciting experience that requires stability. Especially with the narrow, busy cycle paths, a welcome addition.

  • Smooth communication, very friendly, really well looked after, a wonderful day on the fatbikes and e-Chopper exploring the region. Ideal with teenagers, because if even they think it's cool, it really must be 😉 We recommend it to everyone!

  • We actually turned up at Fred's on a Sunday on the off chance. He happened to be there and told us he wasn't actually reopening until 1 April, but this extremely friendly man didn't make a problem of anything. We got 2 e-Choppers and a lovely route. I'd say everything was perfectly arranged and highly recommended.

  • Rented a normal bike here. Price was reasonable, bike was good and even had gears and hand brakes. Location is quite far from the station though. In high season also better to book in advance.

  • We had booked 2 e-Choppers online and were given a friendly welcome. Our self-planned tour took us via Sint Maartenszee to Schoorl and back inland to Schagen. 42 km in total. We loved gliding silently along the cycle paths and would always rent two-wheelers from Fred again.

  • We went there because we have a child with special needs with us. The lady there took perfect care of the little one and together we picked out the perfect bike.   • A pleasant rental company for (among other things) bikes. You're helped in a friendly way, with a wide range of different two-wheelers. The e-bikes we rented were of good quality and in neat condition. If you book, you can have the bikes delivered to your hotel and collected again later at no extra cost.

  • Super nice service and a good choice of options. The helmet was included free of charge for the rental period. The rented bikes were basically okay. There were limitations with the brakes, though: unfortunately they were quite stiff on these bikes, and the narrow front part of the saddles pointed up a little too far, which you only noticed after a few kilometres because of the pain. Adjusting them by hand wasn't possible and we had no tools to readjust them, which made the rest of the tour a bit of an ordeal for two of our group. Next time we'll have to check that ourselves beforehand.

  • Everything was great. The bikes were brought right to our holiday apartment. Unfortunately we had a flat tyre after 20 minutes of riding, but a new bike was delivered straight away. Super service and a very friendly owner 👍

    Hello Annabel, thanks for the positive review. As for the range: next time you could also choose the Smart Wheelz e-scooter. It's more comfortable too, and you can easily ride 80 km on it.

  • Good help, they really think along with you. We rented 4 scooters there and rode to Texel on the recommendation of the people there. Did a loop over there and had something to eat. A really fun day out!

  • The bikes are in perfect condition and ride brilliantly. The staff member really went out of her way to give me the right bike, and she was exceptionally friendly and clearly loves her work. It was a great day!

  • We had a group booking with Fred's Verhuur. From contacting them via email to ask whether we could get specific kinds of bikes to reaching there, they were extremely supportive and helped us with all our queries. As our journey had come to a close, one of us had a leg injury and could not cycle. Fred was very understanding and helped picked the injured person from the street they were stranded. Throughout our experience, they were inspirationally kind and helpful. Thank you! Great people, great bikes! We look forward to our next time!

  • Rented 2 e-Choppers here. Good-quality chopper. The reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the e-Chopper has little to no suspension. That doesn't take anything away from the rental company itself. Warm staff and great service

  • Rented two e-bikes from Fred last weekend. Great bikes, and what service. The bikes were delivered to and collected from the bed and breakfast where we were staying, very convenient. Highly recommended.

  • Opens at 10:00 AM in the morning but Fred was already waiting for us in the scaghen station at 8:30 itself in the morning to pick us up. Gave us nice bikes and tips to go through the fields and taught my wife how to to cycle. It was a great experience for us. I would recommend everyone to take this cycle trip through the fields, but remember Fred's is the place to get your bikes. We finished our bike tour and Fred dropped us back in the station to catch the train.
